Despite growing policy interest in healthcare digital twins in South Korea, the related technology and industry are in early stages, and the institutional foundation is insufficient. This document provides a conceptual definition of healthcare digital twins, analyzes domestic and international trends in industry, technology, policy, and R&D investment, and proposes government R&D support directions for future technological advancement and application in medical and industrial fields. Currently, South Korea's efforts are limited to developing use cases and prototypes, with the goal of advancing these digital twin technologies to provide personalized and predictive healthcare services.
