COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION of 12 December 2023 on transposing Article 30 on national energy efficiency funds, financing and technical support of the Directive (EU) 2023/1791 on energy efficiency (‘EED recast’)

Summary

The European Commission has issued a recommendation to Member States on transposing and implementing Article 30 of the recast Energy Efficiency Directive, which focuses on mobilizing financing and technical support for energy efficiency measures. This approach includes establishing national energy efficiency funds, promoting green loans, and providing assistance, with Member States expected to report on their progress by March 2025. The initiative is currently in progress as Member States work towards implementation.
