Towards integrated city observatories for greenhouse gases

Summary

The ICOS Cities project addresses the critical challenge of accurately monitoring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in urban areas to support emission reduction goals. It establishes integrated city observatories in Zurich, Paris, and Munich, evaluating various measurement and modeling techniques. Currently in progress, the project aims to develop tools and a blueprint for cities to assess their GHG reduction efforts.
