Assessment and Planning of Decarbonization Research and Training at UTRGV

Summary

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) faced the challenge of enhancing its capacity to secure future funding for decarbonization research and develop a skilled workforce in this area. To address this, UTRGV conducted a one-year self-assessment project to evaluate its existing research capabilities, identify critical gaps, and devise a strategic plan for future competitiveness in Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) technologies.
