Summary

Brazil aims to accelerate the decarbonization of its energy matrix and promote sustainable fuels. To address this, the Permanent Technical Committee for Future Fuels (CTP-CF) has been established to regulate and implement the recently enacted Law No. 14.993/2024. The committee will propose measures, coordinate studies, set emission reduction targets, and evaluate the technical feasibility of higher biofuel blends like E35 and B25.
