The community of Playa de Ponce, Puerto Rico, faces significant energy challenges including high costs and unreliable electricity, particularly during extreme weather, which impacts an aging population and public safety. To address this, the non-profit Un Nuevo Amanecer Inc. partnered with the U.S. Department of Energy’s ETIPP to develop a Strategic Energy Plan (SEP).
