This document addresses the challenge of accurately predicting the electrical grid load from a rapidly increasing number of electric vehicles. It proposes a new modeling method for EV charging power profiles within the Caldera software, which accounts for real-world variations such as battery temperature and manufacturer-specific charging limits, utilizing data from the Next-Gen Profile project. This initiative is currently in progress, aiming to improve the precision of EV charging impact simulations.
