Summary

The CEERP SM3 Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation Workshop, held on June 24–25, 2024, brought together 26 experts to discuss ecosystem restoration in the Columbia River Estuary. The workshop aimed to inform the third Synthesis Memorandum (SM3) by collaboratively understanding the current science, identifying knowledge gaps, and prioritizing future research. Participants were divided into four domain expertise areas and engaged in eight breakout activities. The workshop resulted in a prioritized list of 12 key research questions and several recommendations for advancing CEERP goals through increased collaboration, transparent data sharing, and community engagement.
