ICLEI AND UN-HABITAT TO HOST JOINT COP29 MULTILEVEL ACTION & URBANIZATION PAVILION

Summary

Cities, towns, regions, and other subnational entities are critical for achieving global climate goals, but their contributions and challenges need to be prominently featured on the international stage. ICLEI and UN-Habitat are addressing this by co-convening the Multilevel Action & Urbanization Pavilion at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This pavilion, planned for November 2024, will serve as a global platform to showcase the leadership, accomplishments, and commitments of local and subnational actors in climate action and foster dialogue among diverse stakeholders.
