SAMOA’S THIRD NATIONALLY DETERMINED CONTRIBUTION

Summary

Samoa, a Small Island Developing State, faces significant threats from climate change, including rising sea levels and intense cyclones, despite its negligible contribution to global greenhouse gas emissions. Through its Third Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0), Samoa commits to an ambitious whole-of-country approach focusing on mitigation, adaptation, and loss and damage, with targets to reduce overall GHG emissions by 104.11 Gg CO2e by 2035.
