Australian startup gets $5m for critical energy mineral processing

The accelerating global demand for copper, driven by electrification and renewable energy, faces supply constraints, with conventional processing making low-grade resources uneconomic. Australian startup Banksia Minerals is addressing this by developing a breakthrough electrochemical technology to efficiently process low-grade copper resources while reducing energy use and emissions.
