Indonesia faces the challenge of a high energy cost burden for low-income households due to air conditioning use, alongside a broader need to decarbonize its building sector. A cost-benefit analysis was conducted to evaluate 12 passive and low-energy cooling solutions, identifying key energy conservation measures like ceiling fans with temperature setbacks, insulated walls, insulated roofs, and cool roofs. This analysis aims to guide future investments and policies under the Just Energy Transition Partnership to deploy these solutions and is part of an ongoing initiative to improve building energy efficiency.
