GRID OSCILLATION PROJECT (STUDY AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT)

Summary

Australia's power grid faces stability challenges from the increasing integration of Inverter-Based Resources (IBR), leading to complex oscillation phenomena. To address this, Monash University, with ARENA funding, developed "Rezonance", an impedance-based stability analysis software. The project successfully completed the development and thorough validation of this professional-grade software, equipping industry users with a tool to diagnose and mitigate IBR-induced oscillations.
