Summary

This German research project, "DigitalRessourcen," analyzes the resource intensity and greenhouse gas potential of digital transformation in Germany to understand and mitigate its environmental impacts. It involved micro- and macro-level analyses, scenario modeling up to 2050, and identified action areas for sustainable digitalization. The initial phase concluded in 2023, and a follow-up project is currently underway from August 2024 to July 2027.
