The LIFT Community of Practice: Lessons Learned in 2024

Summary

The LIFT Community of Practice addresses the challenge of siloed insights and missed opportunities in expanding public participation and benefits from renewable energy development, particularly wind energy. Launched in 2024 by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory with U.S. Department of Energy support, the initiative convenes diverse stakeholders to exchange best practices and develop innovative approaches. Currently in progress, the CoP identified key challenges, shared ongoing efforts, developed a preliminary assessment framework, and plans to expand its focus to all renewable energy technologies in 2025.
