Indonesia faces the challenge of unfulfilled national energy targets due to lower economic growth and the imperative to align energy policy with its 2060 Net Zero Emission commitment, given the energy sector's significant greenhouse gas contribution. The National Energy Council Secretariat is addressing this by facilitating the update of the National Energy Policy (PP KEN) to prioritize renewable energy transition, while also assisting 38 provinces in developing their Regional Energy General Plans.
