Summary

The Kenya Green and Resilient Expansion of Energy (GREEN) Program Phase 2 Project aims to mitigate environmental and social risks during its implementation. Supported by the International Development Association and the Green Climate Fund, the project will adhere to a comprehensive Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP). This plan outlines detailed measures for ESHS performance monitoring, incident reporting, establishment of expert teams, and adherence to specific environmental and social standards and management plans, ensuring sustainable energy expansion while safeguarding communities and the environment. This initiative is currently in progress.
