Summary

Brazil aims to diversify its energy matrix and reduce external dependence on nuclear fuel production to ensure clean and sustainable energy. In response, INB, now a subsidiary of ENBPar, undertook corporate and legislative reforms to attract private capital, expand uranium enrichment capacity, resume projects like Angra 3, and achieve financial self-sufficiency. These initiatives are currently in progress, with significant milestones achieved in 2022, including financial independence and the expansion of domestic enrichment capabilities.
