Summary

Kenya faces significant challenges due to poor solid waste management, resulting in environmental degradation, health risks, and strained infrastructure, with an estimated 22,000 tons of waste generated daily. In response, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has introduced the Waste Management Regulations, 2024.
