This UK government-commissioned project assessed the consistency of public behavioural advice concerning extreme heat, drought, and wildfires. Researchers reviewed 69 national and local sources, extracting and analyzing 1,209 behavioural messages for consistency and contradictions. The completed project found that while advice for individual risks was generally consistent, some contradictions emerged when multiple risks occurred simultaneously, particularly regarding staying indoors during wildfires or balancing hydration with water conservation during heat and drought.
