Kenya's agricultural sector, a vital part of its economy, faces significant challenges from climate variability and desertification, making traditional rain-fed farming increasingly difficult and threatening food security. To address this, Twiga Foods Ltd proposes an irrigation scheme in Taita Taveta County, utilizing water from River Lumi and a newly constructed 58,313m³ reservoir to irrigate 485 hectares using overhead sprinkle and drip irrigation systems.
