Leveraging reVeal for Data Center Siting

Summary

The United States faces the challenge of strategically siting large energy loads, such as data centers, to effectively integrate them into a capacity-strained grid. The National Laboratory of the Rockies developed reVeal, an open-source geospatial platform, to address this by providing a framework for highly resolved site suitability analysis for data center development. The tool is currently in progress, continually being refined to leverage advanced modeling techniques like machine learning for optimal site selection and integration into power system models.
