Summary

Kenya faces the challenge of providing universal electricity access by 2026 and clean cooking solutions by 2028, especially in remote and underserved areas. To address this, the government is implementing the Kenya Off-Grid Solar Access Project (KOSAP), financed by the World Bank. The project uses Results-Based Financing facilities to incentivize solar and clean cooking solution providers to expand their services in 14 specific counties, with applications currently being accepted on an ongoing basis.
