Kenya is grappling with the challenge of land privatization in former group ranches, which is threatening wildlife conservation and traditional pastoralist livelihoods. In response, the Mbirikani Group Ranch has developed a Landuse and Subdivision Plan (LSP) to guide land division while integrating sustainable natural resource management and conservation through strategic zoning. This Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is a draft report evaluating the environmental and social implications of the approved LSP, which is currently in its implementation phase from 2020 to 2025.
