Summary

This document details a Cooperative Research and Development project focused on accurately modeling Wave Energy Converters (WECs) in extreme wave conditions. The National Laboratory of the Rockies collaborated with Carnegie Clean Energy to perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of the CETO WEC, validating the models against physical test data. The project has been completed, successfully developing and verifying methodologies for simulating WECs under extreme wave loads.
