Systemic Transformation of School Education- The SATH-E Experience

Despite significant progress in achieving near-universal primary school access, India faces the challenge of sub-optimal quality of education and stagnant student learning outcomes. The NITI Aayog launched Project SATH-E in 2017, a cooperative federalism initiative with Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha, to implement systemic academic and governance reforms. The project is currently in progress, showing early and measurable improvements in learning outcomes and aims for a long-term transformation aligned with SDG 4.
